Michelle handles all business aspects of Shadow Ridge as well as caring for all equine residents. Her experience in the legal field and in the management of several businesses insures comprehensive and efficient stable management. Michelle also holds a Paralegal Degree along with Certificates in Equine First Aid, Stable Management and Equine Breeding and Reproduction. She is also a member of several rescue organizations including the ASPCA, the American Horse Defense Fund, the North Shore Animal League, the United States Humane Society, and is a past Board of Director and Officer of the Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue, Inc.  

Jim owns a successful law practice at Smith Mountain Lake, specializing in areas of real estate, small business, civil litigation and estate planning. Michelle continues to assist with the administration and accounting at the law office as well as several other real estate and title insurance companies.
